GRAPHITE ELECTRODES

CRUIAL COMPONENTS IN EAF STEEL PRODUCTION

Graphite electrodes are essential conductive materials used in the electric smelting industry. They possess excellent electrical conductivity, high thermal and mechanical strength, as well as resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. These electrodes are primarily utilized in electric arc furnaces (EAF) for steel smelting, submerged arc furnaces for producing ferrodalloys, pure silicon, phosphorus, matte, calcium carbide, and more. Additionally, they are used in electric resistance furnaces for graphitization, glass melting furnaces, and electric furnaces for manufacturing carborundum.
